Dura lex sed lex

Hi everyone! As you know I am student of French studies at University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. But I am also student of law at the same university. That's why I want write today something about law. During my studies I noticed that a lot of people have no idea about law in our country. I don't think that we all should know criminal law, civil law or constitutional law very well, but I think that we all should know the basics. Our behaviour is usually limited by law - statutory law, common law or moral standards because moral standards are often fundamental norm of statutory law. To come back to our topic, we don't need to know every codification (the lawyers are for that), but I believe we should know these regulations which are important for us, e.g. labour law or medical law. Medical law is often forgotten by lawyers (except these who have a specialisation from health law) and it is real damage because it's really important. Health law adjust not only matte...

How easy destroy someone?

Image
What is the easiest way to destroy someone? The answer for that question is really simple. Rumors. They can destroy everything - opinions, friendships, relationships. Sad part of rumors is that we don't have an influence for them, they just are. But definitely we can fight with this "fake news". source Why I decided to write about this topic? Because a lot of people trust in everything what they hear. And that is our real problem. Sometimes we take the things what they are, we don't think about them. This is the cause of problems with rumors. We all need to be a little critical of what we hear. It is painful when people say about us things which are not the truth, even more when our friends or family really believe it, but we can't stop it. People talk and they always will. It's not a surprise that gossips can cause a lot of trouble. We attected each other because of jealousy, hate or other reasons. But after all this "trash" we can still hav...

Why do we think about others?

Image
In one of previous posts I promised to write something about our relations with other people. Why do we think about them? Why do we care about what they have or who they are? And what's more - why do we compare ourself with others? I think we all know the answers for these questions. First of all - we think about others when we care about them. In this group there is our family, our friends. People who also care about us. We have a strong bond so it is totally normal we think about them and that they think about us. Another thing is thinking about strangers or people we know but we don't have close relations. It is often connected with third question above. We compare ourself with them. If we are better than someone, we usually feel good. That doesn't matter in which part of life we are better. The most important is - we are better. If we are worse... There are to ways of thinking - we admire someone and we want to be like them, we are not jealous, we try to achieve...

Pretty little liars...

Image
"If I'm being honest..." sing The Chainsmokers in one of their songs (link to the song -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lsv5IeI8bA8 ). I don't know why we all are sometimes scared of the truth. I don't say that I always tell the truth because that's obviously a lie. Cast the first stone who source have never lied. We do this and I can't understand why. Sooner or later everything will come up and we will have more trouble than we would have if we said the truth instantly. There is also more pain for us and for the ones we lied.  Some time ago I did my own experiment. During one week I said only the truth. If someone asked me about my opinion, I said what was on my mind. I didn't lie, even if someone was expecting me to do that. After that week I lied but I couln't stand that more than 4 days. I had enough. Why? There are 3 major reasons. 1. Because making up the lies is a lot of harder than we expect. We're thinking we know what we...

Money and power

Image
Almost every little girl dream about being a princess, specially after watching a Disney's movie. Older kinds want to be a president or other famous people. They all have two things in common - money and power. source This is not a surprise that we like when someone do what we want to. People like spending money - that's not a news too. Every time I hear about this I ask myself an important question - why? If we want to have money or power (because unfortunately have money means have power), we have to work hard. That means we spend a lot of time doing something what very often doesn't make us happy. We want more and more and what we have is never enough. It shouldn't be like that. I know the money are necessary to live, because we need to pay the rent or buy the food. These things are essential, that's true. I also understand people who travel or doing something for themselves. But what I don't understand is put the money to the bank and left them there...

Who you really are?

Image
source It is not really easy to find your place in the world. We always looking for something and we often forget what is life really about. Not money, not fame, not power. It seems important while we live, we want more and more and it's never enough. But in life the most important are people we live with. Our family, friends... It is important to find youself, make your dreams come true. You will never satisfy all, that is not possible. The only person you have to satisfy is you, no one else. Unfortunetely, people often forget about that. They work all the time instead of spending time with their families. They pretend someone else just to achieve something they want or need. Stop here for a while. Think about yourself. Who are you? What you like? What you really want? Look at the mirror. What do you see? Do you like it? At first sight, these are not hard questions, right? Just in theory. Often these questions are the most unlikely. Why? Because we are scared the answers for t...
